Big sports event from Australia and abroad. When the big names and the local heroes face off in the ring Sports fans get a ring side seat at the fights, in the comfort of their own home with Main Event.
You don’t have to miss a thing with Main Event. If there is something on and you want to see it, then let us know and we will try and get if for you. There is something for all on Main Event.
It's very simple. You only pay for what you want to watch. You make the choice of the particular event then either call your Service Provider to subscribe, or press the BOX OFFICE on your Foxtel Digital remote - it's that easy.
New Events are advertised on-air, on-line and in the Austar, Optus & Foxtel programme guides. (Note: If a promoter is late announcing an Event it may not make the guides - but you can always keep up to date by checking on-line or on the MAIN EVENT channel where we show promos of what’s coming soon).
Each Pay TV provider has their own special number and all you have to do is call with your account details and they'll sign you up for the event.
FOXTEL Digital subscribers can order by pressing the BOX OFFICE button on their remote, from 3 days before the event.
FOXTEL Digital subscribers unable to order through your FOXTEL Digital remote, call 1300 783 833 and follow the prompts to order*.
*Phone ordering is not available on the FOXTEL iQ.
Because most MAIN EVENT'S come in LIVE from overseas they are not always on at a convenient time, so we always have replays.
The Wrestling for example is always Live in the USA at 8.00pm Sunday night (US Eastern time), which depending on Daylight Savings is between 10.00am and midday (Eastern time) on Monday in Australia, so we always schedule a replay at 6.30pm (Eastern time) the same day so you won’t miss a thing!
With Boxing, the fights are usually LIVE on a Saturday night in the US, which is around midday in Australia. Again we normally replay the same day at 6.30pm (Eastern time). Replays are only not at 6.30pm (Eastern time), on the very rare occasion there are 2 Events on the same day.
The only Events we don't have a replay for are Events that are LIVE in the evening Australian time. For example local Boxing.
* Note during DAYLIGHT SAVINGS, the Eastern states must allow for the time change for their specific state.
