Solomon Haumono is now faced with the biggest opportunity of his career. If he could secure a victory over Parker, it would catapult Sol to heights beyond his imagination in world heavyweight boxing. By his own admission Sol did not look great in his last fight but styles and motivation make for great fights and his motivation for this is far greater than any other professional contest he has experienced.
As for Joseph Parker, it would seem that it is not a smart and sensible fight to take as a warm up, prior to his promised IBF title shot against Anthony Joshua. Haumono can punch and offer no reward for a victory at this juncture. Parker also showed grave inefficiencies in his last fight with Joseph Takem and though it is obvious he had a lot to celebrate, he was gassed out early and got hit often. Parker wants to take a good victory into his world title event against Anthony Joshua and fly with the momentum.
Though Solomon will be licking his lips with the opportunity at hand, I see Parker winning on points in what could turn out to be a hometown decision, even though Parker will certainly be going for the KO. Every Haumono fan and casual obverser will also be on the edge of their seats waiting to see if Haumono can land a right hand that will flip the script!
